VIRTUAL EVENT

WHAT: The goal of Legislative Day is to help dentists and dental students become comfortable communicating dentistry’s message to elected officials of both political parties. Help support WDA’s image as the “Tooth Party” whose members advance issues that promote professional excellence and quality oral health care for the public.

With so many unknowns about the future of the COVID-19 epidemic both in Wisconsin and across the nation, we are adjusting the upcoming March 24 WDA Legislative Day to a virtual event. The health and safety of our members is paramount as well as the health and safety of the patients you serve. While taking Legislative Day virtual was a very difficult decision to reach, we believe it is the wise one considering the facts we know – and don’t know – as of today.

With that said, the Madison legislative team is hard at work revamping Legislative Day in a way that allows you to participate and stay healthy without coming to Madison. It is our intention to create a program that can be viewed on demand or live, so you can still receive up-to-the-minute information about what is happening in our Capitol, learn more about the issues being discussed, and hear from the movers and shakers of the building, without missing a day in your practice.

There is no doubt that one of the most important parts of Legislative Day is visiting with your elected officials. That’s why we will also be scheduling virtual meetings with your components and the lawmakers who represent you. Even in these uncertain times, it’s vitally important that lawmakers hear directly from you, their constituents and the true experts on dentistry and oral health in Wisconsin.

Please visit here to sign up to be sent the zoom link to participate from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 24.

Thank you for your continued passion, dedication, and support!
