WDA Foundation’s Donated Dental Services Provides $346,494 in Care for Elderly, Disabled Adults

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –  WEST ALLIS, Jan. 16, 2020 – Dentists who volunteered through the Wisconsin Dental Association Foundation’s Donated Dental Services (DDS) program provided 115 disabled, senior, low-income and uninsured Wisconsin adults with $346,494 in much-needed charitable dental care between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019. In addition, dental laboratories across the state contributed $22,073 in materials and services. WDA recognizes 14 for contributions to organized dentistry and public oral health

Give Kids A Smile® and Head Start Dental Day to provide $25,000 in donated care to low-income children

MILWAUKEE, WIS., Sept. 19, 2019 – Hundreds of children from low-income families in the Milwaukee area will receive free dental exams, fluoride treatments, cleanings, oral health education and limited emergency treatment from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Marquette University School of Dentistry, 1801 W. Wisconsin Ave. The total amount of donated dental care is estimated to reach $25,000 on the day, and even includes oral hygiene instruction to parents and caregivers on the habits that their children should practice at home.
