The Wisconsin Dental Association Foundation is beginning its next decade of improving oral health in the state and you are helping us continue our progress. To date, nearly 1,200 WDA members have chosen to support the work of the Wisconsin Dental Association Foundation when they renewed their professional membership for 2018.
Your investment in the WDA Foundation continues to bring smiles to the faces of state residents who would otherwise have difficulty obtaining oral care, while continuing to assist retired, current and future dental professionals.
Here’s an example of how your investment is helping:
- Rita is a 75-year-old widow from New Berlin who qualified for dental treatment through the Donated Dental Services program. She came to the program with many oral health problems that prevented her from leading a happy and healthy life. Thanks to Dr. Tarah Gerner (New Berlin) and dental labs in West Allis and Menomonee Falls, Rita received treatment that included cleaning, scaling & root planing, 1 crown, 2 partial dentures and 4 fillings.
Upon completion of treatment Rita stated “Thank you so much for your help. I truly appreciate it. Everyone was so kind and caring when my situation seemed so hopeless.”
