New dentists (out of school 10 years or less), along with third and fourth year Marquette University School of Dentistry students are invited to an evening of networking and continuing education beginning at 6 p.m. on March 30, 2017 at the Delafield Brewhaus.
Tanner J. McKenna, DDS, FAGD (Sun Prairie) will share two programs from the American Dental Association Success series: “Managing Debt and Wealth” and “Practice Management for All Dentists.”
Here’s five reasons not to miss this CE-networking event:
- School and practice debt can be distracting. The American Dental Education Association reports the average educational debt for a 2016 dental school graduate was $219,463. Bust that debt with basic financial principles for long-term success, a budget template for students and new grads and strategies for reducing debt and managing wealth.
- Good management skills never go out of style. All dentists (and soon-to-be dentists) can benefit from understanding basic practice management principles, how to attract new patients and what makes a good dental team leader.
- A professional network is valuable. Who do you turn to when you need to discuss a case, could use some perspective on work-life balance or have questions about your professional goals? Start now to build (or expand) a team of friends and colleagues who share your love of dentistry.
- Get CE for licensure renewal. Wisconsin dental license renewals due by Sept 30! Earn one non-clinical CE credit toward the 30 needed, of which up to five may be non-clinical.
- Kick winter doldrums to the curb with food, fun and friends! – This event gets underway at 6 p.m. with networking, appetizers and a cash bar. Networking resumes after ADA Success programs conclude at 8:15 p.m.
Cost is $25 for WDA members, $40 for nonmembers and $15 for MUSOD students. All fees increase at the door, so REGISTER ONLINE TODAY!
Looking forward to it!
