Medical Protective and Professional Insurance Programs are pleased to announce that registration is now open for our annual Risk Management Seminar. The topic this year is Preventing Dental Malpractice Claims by Avoiding and Managing Adverse Outcomes.
The seminar will be held Sept. 17, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Brookfield Conference Center in Brookfield. By participating in this seminar, you can earn continuing dental education credits (CDEs) and if you are a MedPro policy holder, you may be eligible for a 7.5% risk management premium credit for the next three policy renewals.
We will be offering a two-hour OSHA and CDC in Dentistry course following the seminar, from 1 to 3 p.m. The objectives of the course are to:
- Understand current OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, CDC infection control directives and how to implement (including respiratory protection e.g., COVID-19 protocols)
- Identify patient and employee safety hazard(s) in dentistry and how to correct them.
- Learn proper personal protective equipment, disinfection, sharps disposal, needlestick management, sterilization, areosolization control and interment handling.
