If you volunteer at a local nonprofit dental clinic or are involved with a charitable oral health program, don’t miss your chance to help in another important way. Introduce the program manager to the Wisconsin Dental Association Foundation Annual Grant Program.
Each year the WDA Foundation accepts grant applications from nonprofit dental organizations and provides grants of up to $5,000 to worthy Wisconsin efforts. Since the year 2000, more than $930,000 has been distributed to both large and small oral health projects across the state.
The WDA Foundation is currently accepting applications for grant funds to be distributed in 2021. This is a competitive, application-only process. The deadline to apply is Sept. 15, 2020.
Each application is thoroughly reviewed by members of the WDA Foundation’s Finance and Allocation Committee. Decisions on 2021 grant recipients will be announced in mid-December.
The WDA Foundation grant program is seeking proposals from:
- Nonprofit, reduced-rate dental clinics
- Oral health education projects (e.g., classrooms, schools, health fairs, social service agencies)
- Oral health education in conjunction with preventive programs (e.g., fluoride and dental sealant application projects)
- Other creative, philanthropic endeavors relating to dentistry in Wisconsin
To be considered for funding, organizations must be located in Wisconsin and funds must be used within the state. Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) are not eligible
