CPR certification is a requirement for licensure with the Wisconsin Dentistry Examining Board; however, dentists whose certification is due to expire may be running into problems with cancelled recertification classes. While the WDA cannot provide legal advice, and we encourage all providers to do what they can to keep all certifications current, we suggest keeping these items in your file if your certification is set to expire.
- Copy of current CPR certification
- Copy of enrollment for course cancelled due to COVID-19 outbreak
- Copy of course cancellation and any other pertinent information on when it will be held again
- Copy of American Health Association interim guidelines on extensions
Additionally, consider contacting the course training center to see if they are holding online classes so you can keep up that part of your certification.
Everyone is affected by this extraordinary public health crisis, and cancellations are out of your control. Be sure to reschedule your class when possible and maintain these copies should questions arise.
