“Dentists are greedy!” “Dentists don’t care about people unless they are getting paid.” “Dentists only want to see the rich.”
Time was when state lawmakers, news reporters and many in the general public believed these things about dentists.
A concerted, multi-year, joint legislative and public awareness effort using real facts about how Wisconsin Dental Association member dentists do serve and do make a difference in their communities by providing charitable care has made the above statements mostly a thing of the past.
Today, legitimate data that can be documented is more important than ever in a world of fake news and opinions presented as facts.
You can help your WDA volunteer leaders and staff explain how member dentists are working to reduce barriers to care among our state’s low-income residents by taking a few minutes to answer a brief 18-question survey about your charitable care efforts during 2016.
Individual responses are kept confidential. Only summaries of group statistical data are used to answer media questions and discuss oral health policy with state legislators and others.
Please complete the secure, online survey before 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24 by following this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8KJCS2S
If you need to step away from the survey before completing it, close your web browser and then click the survey link again to resume where you left off.
