After a longer-than-expected effort, we are very excited to announce that contributions to WIDPAC may now be made online!** This is a huge step forward for WDA and will greatly increase the ease and convenience of supporting the future of your profession.
Contributions may be made at https://blog.wda.org/donate-to-widpac.
In the next several weeks, you will receive WIDPAC’s spring solicitation from Dr. Thomas Raimann, WDA president, and Dr. Matt Roggensack, WIDPAC chair, asking for your continued support and outlining the reasons we need your help.
As we enter an election year, our efforts to defend supporters of good oral health policy in both parties will be critical. Because this is a presidential election year, all races will become more expensive. We appreciate each of you that donate, and highly encourage those of you that have not yet done so to strongly consider it.
**Please note that this page is for contributions to WIDPAC ONLY. Direct Giver contributions must still be made by mail or phone. Each dentist’s direct giver account is individual, and we do not have the capacity to set up a system that will allow for dentists to deposit DG funds into their own accounts.
It is important to note that these contributions must be made via your PERSONAL credit cards. Corporate contributions to political action committees (PACs) are illegal. Thus, you may not contribute via your practice.
Please also note that contributing via personal funds and later being reimbursed by your practice would constitute a “straw contribution” and is illegal.
