Most of us are familiar with the eco-friendly mantra, “Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.” as a reminder to be responsible about our resources.
Lately, an additional “R” word has gained some traction – repurpose. It is defined as finding a new use for something other than its original purpose.
So, as the Wisconsin Dental Association communications team continues to try to find ways to both effectively communicate with our members and to conserve member resources in 2017, we are repurposing our WDAJ-Now app. The app has now been modified from an online magazine to become a new weekly tool to share important information with our members.
The great advantage to using the app is both flexibility and immediacy. Brief messages about important action items or events can be delivered to mobile devices without members having to sort through an inbox full of emails or wait for the next print WDA Journal.
So, if you have not had the opportunity to download the WDAJ-Now app to your mobile device, go to the Apple Store or Google Play and download it. Be sure to accept “push” notifications so you can be made aware of important updates and news..
Make a firm resolution for 2017 that you will stay informed about all that the WDA offers, as well as information important to the dental community through the repurposed WDAJ-Now app.
