It has been a long winter, spring, summer and another winter, but now it is time to shake off the blahs and get out in the sun. The WDA Foundation State Dental Golf Classic returns this year and promises to be a great day with friends and colleagues.
The Golf Classic is planned for Monday, Sept. 20, 2021 at Tuckaway Country Club in Franklin. If you haven’t golfed Tuckaway, this is your opportunity to play a world-class course. From 1972-1993, Tuckaway was host to the Greater Milwaukee Open and is known as one of the best country clubs in the state. With large undulating greens, tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers, Tuckaway can be a tough golf course from the back tees, but can also be very friendly from the others. The course completed a $3.2 million renovation in 2019 making it a “must-golf” destination.
The registration fee is $195 per golfer. This includes the use of a golf cart, 18 holes of golf, lunch and dinner and an awards program following the round. You can choose to play standard golf or a scramble format and the event goes on rain or shine. Golfers of all ages and abilities are welcome, including friends and family!
Since 2011, the WDA Foundation State Dental Golf Classic has raised more than $95,000 to support the charitable programs of the WDA Foundation. This year, $25 from each registration fee will directly support the WDA Foundation and its programs. Registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 3.
The Foundation is also seeking sponsors for the event. Sponsorships start at just $200. Local dental societies and dental groups are urged to show their support with a sponsorship.
