The Wisconsin Dental Association and the WDA Foundation are looking for dentists and dental hygienists to help move their profession forward as members of committees and boards.
The WDA Communications Committee has volunteer openings for dentist representatives from Northeast Region 2 and Southwest Region 5. This committee oversees all public awareness efforts, including the Own Your Smile campaign, WDA.org website and seven social media platforms. Contact WDA Director of Membership and Communications Carol Weber at [email protected] if you or someone you know is interested in serving.
The Editorial Advisory Board, which oversees and plans the print WDA Journal, WDA-Insider blog and WDAJ-Now 2.0 app, has an opening for a dentist from SW R5. Contact WDA Editor Dr. Robert Darling (Sheboygan) at [email protected] with questions or if you or someone you know is interested.
The Membership Development Committee also has two openings for dentist members from NE R2 and SW R5. It is also seeking to add the perspective of a dental hygienist member. This committee focuses its efforts on membership recruitment and retention. Contact WDA Membership Coordinator Brian Cooley at [email protected] with questions.
There will be openings on the WDA Foundation board for dentist members representing NE R2 and SW R5 in 2018. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact foundation Executive Director Vicki Bohman at [email protected].
Other foundation committee vacancies include the Relief Fund Committee — a charitable grant program of the foundation. Committee members review Relief Fund requests and, in coordination with the full committee, make decisions on approval and amount. Contact [email protected] if interested n serving.
