The Wisconsin Dental Association House of Delegates doubles as the single largest fundraising event for Wisconsin Dental Political Action Committee every year. After making some changes to the giving levels, creating a redesigned brochure and initiating a new marketing campaign, our hope was to increase the participation level by member dentists. I’m very pleased to say that this year’s HOD did just that.
Contributions for this year totaled $57,610, four thousand dollars more than the prior two years and one of the highest totals over the last decade. Perhaps even more encouraging is the fact that we had 14 new contributors this year, totaling 86—an all time record!
WIDPAC is a crucial part of WDA’s advocacy strategy. By supporting candidates for office that support oral health, we are able to ensure that our legislative priorities remain attainable and that quality care for the public remains accessible. Many thanks to those who contributed, and to those who haven’t, there is still plenty of time. We accept contributions year-round!
