WEST ALLIS, WIS., Nov. 12, 2018 – Dr. Patrick Tepe, a resident of Middleton, was sworn in as president of the 3,000-member Wisconsin Dental Association at the organization’s 148th House of Delegates on Nov. 10 at the Blue Harbor Resort and Conference Center in Sheboygan, Wis. A general dentist, Tepe is a partner of Associated Dentists and practices in Verona.
Tepe has a Bachelor of Science in biology from Marquette University and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
He has served on numerous WDA committees, work groups and boards, including the Executive Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Long Range Planning Committee, Board Nominating Committee, Co-Op Concept Work Group and the WDA Insurance and Services Corp. Board of Directors. Prior to joining the WDA board as a trustee for the Southwest Region, he served as president of the Dane County Dental Society.
Tepe has also been involved with the American Dental Association, serving as a delegate to national meetings.
He is a fellow in the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Other 2018-19 leaders sworn in at the WDA House include:
- President-Elect Dr. Thomas Raimann, who while retired from private practice is now a part-time faculty member at the Marquette University School of Dentistry. He represented the Greater Milwaukee Region as a trustee on the WDA board for seven years, was a Greater Milwaukee Dental Association board member and a delegate and alternate delegate to the ADA House of Delegates. Raimann also chaired the WDA and WDA Foundation Mission of Mercy charitable care event for three years after serving as vice chair for two years.
- Vice President Dr. Paula Crum is a periodontist in Green Bay. She has served on the WDA’s Ethics and Dental Relations, Legislative Advocacy, Reference, Strategic Planning, Executive and Long Range Planning committees. She has represented the Northeast Region as a trustee on the WDA board since 2014.
- Immediate Past-President Dr. Dave Clemens is a general dentist and partner at in Wisconsin Dells. He is a past-president of the Sauk Juneau Adams County Dental Society and former chair of the Wisconsin Dental Political Action Committee. Clemens joined the WDA Board of Trustees in 2010 as a trustee for the Southwest Region.
- Treasurer Dr. John R. Moser is a Milwaukee resident with a general dental practice in the Historic Third Ward. He is also an adjunct professor in the Department of General Dental Sciences at MUSOD. A Greater Milwaukee Dental Association past-president and former Greater Milwaukee Region trustee, Moser was first appointed by the WDA board to the treasurer’s post in 2007.
- Editor Dr. Ryan Dulde is a general dentist and owner of Eagle Dental in Eagle and is a resident of Dousman. Prior to being elected WDA editor, he served as the chair of the Communications Committee. WDA communications won multiple national and regional awards during his tenure.
- Speaker of the WDA House of Delegates Dr. Monica Hebl was elected to her fifth one-year term. A WDA and GMDA past-president, Hebl has a general dental practice in Milwaukee and resides in Wauwatosa.
WDA trustees recently re-elected or new to the board include:
- Dr. Rick Mueller, a general dentist in Marshfield. He was re-elected to represent the Northwest Region and is in his second and final term.
- Dr. Chris Hansen, a general dentist in Two Rivers. He was re-elected to represent the Northeast Region in his second and final term.
- Dr. Alison Agnes, a general dentist in Green Bay. She was elected to represent the Northeast Region as interim trustee.
- Dr. Cheska Avery-Stafford, a general dentist who lives in Milwaukee and practices in Waukegan, Ill. She was elected to represent the Greater Milwaukee Region in her first full term.
- Dr. Brian Watkins, an endodontist who lives in Franksville and practices in Mequon. He was elected to represent the Southeast Region in his first full term.
- Dr. Rachel Steele, a general dentist who lives in Tomah and practices in Black River Falls. She was elected to represent the Southwest Region in her first full term.
- Patrick Campbell, a third-year student at Marquette’s dental school. He will represent all MUSOD students on the WDA board for one year.
