Until 2007, Wisconsin was one of three states left who didn’t require continuing education of its licensed dentists. This CE requirement was signed into law by then Gov. Jim Doyle and eliminated criticism from other groups who might have misinterpreted the lack of mandatory CE as a lack of commitment to ongoing professional education.
