Wisconsin Dental Association dentists interested in representing their 9th District Wisconsin and Michigan colleagues on the American Dental Association Council on Advocacy for Access and Prevention (previously CAPIR) should submit their curriculum vitae by Jan. 15, 2021.
The WDA Board of Trustees will review CVs at its February meeting and then forward names of potential candidates to 9th District Trustee Dr. Julio Rodriguez (Brodhead).
Dr. Rodriguez will submit his recommendation to the ADA in time for the national association’s board to consider at its June meeting.
This ADA council is responsible for oral health literacy, oral disease prevention and intervention, access to oral healthcare and community oral health advocacy.
The council appointment is a four-year term that begins at the close of the ADA House of Delegates in October 2021 and runs through the ADA house in 2025.
All council members must be active, life or retired members in good standing of the ADA. Most councils meet twice a year, either at ADA headquarters in Chicago or the Washington, D.C. office.
If you would like to apply or have questions, contact WDA Executive Director Mark Paget at [email protected] or 414-755-4100.
