The 11th WDA Foundation State Dental Golf Classic is set for Monday, September 12, 2022 at South Hills Golf & Country Club in Fond du Lac! If you haven’t golfed South Hills, this is your opportunity to learn why it has become a favorite of Wisconsin golfers. The course includes 164 acres of beautifully landscaped elevation changes and challenging holes designed for golfers of all skill levels
The registration fee is still just $195 per golfer, which will include the use of a golf cart, 18 holes of golf, a lunch and dinner, a cash bar with two drink tickets provided and an awards program following the round. You can choose to play standard golf or a scramble format. The event goes on rain or shine. This is an event for golfers of all ages and abilities, plus friends and family are welcome!
The Golf Classic traces its roots back to the mid-1940s. When WDA members would unofficially begin their golfing season during the WDA’s Annual Session when they were offered the chance to golf at one of Milwaukee’s elite private courses. These informal golf excursions gave rise to the Wisconsin State Dental Society Annual Golf Tournament in 1965. Over the years, the outing took many forms and in 2011, it transitioned into a fundraising event that has raised over $120,000 to support the charitable programs of the WDA Foundation. This year, $45 from each registration fee will directly support the WDA Foundation and its programs. The registration deadline is Friday, August 19.
The WDA Foundation is also seeking sponsors for the event. Sponsorships start at just $200. Local dental societies and dental groups are invited to show their support with a sponsorship.
