The Central Wisconsin Dental Society and Wisconsin Dental Association are co-hosting a new continuing education and professional networking event scheduled for Nov. 2, 2017 at the Holiday Inn and Convention Center in Stevens Point, Wis.
Dr. Gordon Christensen will present “New Aspects of Dentistry – 2017” for 5.5 clinical CE credits. The CE program will be followed by a two-hour “Big Easy” New Orleans-themed networking social. Representatives from more than 20 dental-industry companies will have tabletop displays and be available to answer attendees’ product and service questions.
“I decided to invite Dr. Christensen, because I knew our component wanted a ‘big’ speaker and I could think of very few bigger than him,” CWDS President Dr. Jeremy Hoffman (Marathon) said when asked why the well-known dental clinician, writer and speaker was coming to Wisconsin.
“Scheduling Dr. Christensen on a Thursday allows us to have more time with him than if he were on a Friday and would have to catch an earlier flight out of town,” Dr. Hoffman added.
“CWDS is honored to partner with the WDA for this CE event featuring the nationally-recognized and respected Dr. Christensen,” CWDS Treasurer Dr. Jennifer Peglow (Stevens Point) said.
“The value afforded to our members and their teams is phenomenal. They will receive quality CE, dining and entertainment wrapped into a full-day event close to home. Timing this event with the WDA House of Delegates will also provide members the opportunity to observe the governance of the WDA in action. This event exemplifies the value of being a WDA member,” Dr. Peglow added.

His unbiased, researched and published contributions to dentistry are almost without peer,” Northwest Region 1 Trustee Dr. Rick Mueller (Marshfield) said.
“Components and the WDA should work cooperatively to bring the best and brightest to our members like we’re doing for this first-time event. Seeing Dr. Christensen, attending great CE and having a great time at the ‘Big Easy’ event all for a bargain price is a no-brainer,” Dr. Mueller concluded.
