The Wisconsin Dental Association, through the WDA Insurance & Services Corp., has added a new benefit for members – free access to Mineral’s human resources and compliance tools, as well as Mineral Experts, on-call HR and legal experts that provide personalized guidance to dental offices and other small businesses.
“We’re very excited to offer this new benefit because many members have told us that HR support is high on their business wish list,” said Dr. Katie Satula (Hales Corners), chair of the WDA Membership Development Committee. “Most dentists don’t have the training or experience to address the multitude of employee and benefit issues that can arise at a dental office, nor do they have the capacity to hire a full-time HR person or expensive consultant. Through the WDA’s partnership with Mineral, free answers and expert guidance are just a few keystrokes or a phone call away.”
Members can open a free account and authorize others – for example, office managers, supervisors and administrative staff – to use it. They’ll receive access to the following services at no charge:
- Mineral Platform: The online platform includes tools and resources to help manage HR and compliance issues, including employee handbooks, an HR compliance library, a benefits document creator, employee training courses, HR assessments, an OSHA log and much more.
- Mineral Experts: Whether you need guidance on a challenging workplace situation or help deciphering some complex legalese, Mineral’s experienced advisors are available to support members. With an average 18 years of HR and compliance experience, Mineral Experts bring deep expertise in employment law, benefits, compensation and employee relations. Connect through the Mineral Platform or phone for the answers you need, right when you need them.
- Mineral Intelligence: At a time when state and federal employment regulations are constantly changing, Mineral Intelligence keeps you ahead of the compliance curve with proactive notifications and tangible, Wisconsin-focused action items tailored to your practice.
Mineral also offers solutions for more complex HR and compliance challenges, including the Smart Employee Handbook Plus, Workplace Safety courses, Workplace Harassment Prevention programs and more. Some solutions may require an additional subscription.
Mineral (formerly ThinkHR) has been available for clients of the WDAISC’s insurance programs for the past several years; the WDAISC has now made it available to all WDA members. “Mineral has been my go-to resource for answering all of my HR questions and helping me build a comprehensive employee handbook that complies with state and national laws,” said WDA member Dr. Laura Hibbard (Monroe). “I have appreciated using their templates and checklists to make sure I have covered all of my bases when hiring new employees.”
