In November, our Wisconsin Dental Association House of Delegates voted to return to an annual Legislative Day. This year, it will take place Wednesday, March 22, 2017.
If we are going to make it a worthwhile investment, we need people to attend. The WDA’s goal is to have at least one dentist from every Assembly District (99 in all) in attendance.
Many Marquette University School of Dentistry students will again be attending Legislative Day, so it is an opportunity for us to demonstrate the effectiveness of speaking to our legislators as a team and how we are fostering the legislative process in Wisconsin’s future dentists.
The goal of Legislative Day is to help dentists and dental students become comfortable communicating dentistry’s message to elected officials of both political parties. Help support WDA’s image as the “Tooth Party” whose members advance issues that promote professional excellence and quality oral health care for the public.

Or, call or email Dana Ponce in the WDA Legislative Office (toll-free 888-538-8932 or 608-250-3442 or [email protected]). Simply tell Dana you wish to attend Legislative Day and she will walk you through the rest.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to join colleagues from across Wisconsin in raising visibility and understanding of dental issues among state legislators.
Let’s be advocacy leaders and set a good example for the dental students!
We hope to see you all there.
Sincerely,
Angela Lueck, DDS and Cheska Avery-Stafford, DDS
